Annual Social Services Action Plan 2022
Within the Targu Mures Social Assistance Department, the services offered are aimed at that part of the community which, due to poor material conditions, lack of education, health condition, or lack of housing, cannot support itself, cannot provide for itself, and is determined to turn to the community, whose involvement is needed to solve social problems. These services can take the form of material or financial aid, housing, employment, hot food or basic foodstuffs, which aim to reintegrate people with social problems who are at risk.
An essential role in providing social services is played by actions aimed at preventing and combating risk situations by educating and informing young people, parents and families as a whole.
From a functional perspective, the provision of social assistance services is conceived as a system of specific actions that must ensure the achievement of its major objective of assisting those who, due to economic, physical, psychological or social reasons, are unable to provide for their social needs and develop their own capacities and skills for social integration.
The annual action plan on social services administered and financed from the budget of the Local Council of Târgu Mureș includes:
Chapter I - Data on the administration, establishment and financing of social services;
Chapter II - Planning activities to inform the public about existing social services at the local level;
Chapter III - Training and methodological guidance programme for staff working in the field of social services.
