Information campaign aimed at increasing access to social services and combating discrimination (POCU) in the communities of Târgu Mureș
Social inclusion through the provision of integrated services at the community level is the priority of the Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures as a partner of the project "Integrated approach to poverty and social exclusion for the benefit of marginalized communities in the Municipality of Targu Mures" - co-funded by the European Social Fund through the Human Capital Operational Programme (POCU) 2014-2020, together with Serafim Duicu Secondary School (partner) and RomActiv Business Consulting (leader).
Thus, during two weeks in September, through field work in the areas of Fânațelor, Dealului, Valea Rece, Băneasa and Barajului, the project experts provided information to vulnerable groups in the Municipality of Târgu Mureș, related to the provision of social and medical-social services, support for increasing access and participation in education and measures to combat discrimination and segregation.
Providing a universal package of preventive social services (health, education, social protection and access to the labour market) at local level in an integrated/coordinated way for children and their families as well as for adults will reduce inequalities and deprivations they face.
Through these services, the aim is to prevent and intervene early on problems such as poverty, certain diseases or addictions, lack of access to health services, dropping out of school, etc.
We remind you that, also within the framework of the above mentioned project, on Wednesday, 26.09.2023, starting at 12:00 noon, the Job Fair will take place at the Cultural Center "Mihai Eminescu", ground floor hall, Nicolae Grigorescu Street, no. 19, Targu Mures.
