Dn Monday, 15 May 2023, the distribution of the sixth tranche of food products granted by the European Union's Operational Programme for the Relief of the Disadvantaged (POAD) will begin.
Starting from 15 May 2023, the Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures distributes the sixth tranche of food packages to the people on the initial lists under the programme implemented on the basis of GEO no. 84/2020 for the establishment of measures necessary for the implementation of the Operational Programme for the Aid of Disadvantaged Persons.
The distribution of food packages will be made from Monday to Friday between 08:00-15:00, from the location located on Ludușului Street, no. 29, only for people with domicile/residence in the Municipality of Targu Mures. All beneficiaries who collect food products must present their identity card in original, both for the holders and for the family members receiving this support.
According to O.U.G. no. 84/2020, the following categories of persons benefit from food packages:
- People who have established entitlement to social assistance;
- Persons who have established entitlement to family support allowance.
The food package contains the following: white wheat flour, cornflour, pasta, oil, sugar, rice, tinned beef, tinned pork, tinned pork liver pâté, fruit compote, fruit jam, diet fruit jam and weighs approximately 25 kg.
NOTE! Persons belonging to more than one of the above categories shall receive food aid only once under the annual programme and for only one category of deprived persons to which they belong at the date of distribution of the aid.
Within the framework of the 6th tranche of the Operational Programme for Aid to Disadvantaged People, the Social Assistance Directorate of Targu Mures was allocated 930 food packages, all of them to be distributed on the initial lists to the social categories mentioned above (368 people who have established the right to social aid and 562 people who have established the right to family support allowance).
We would like to point out that support to categories of persons/families temporarily in critical life situations, i.e. victims of disasters, dependent persons and in other similar situations established by social surveys and who are in particularly vulnerable situations, as well as persons living in informal settlements, is only granted if there are stocks of food after the exhaustion of the distribution to the two social categories mentioned above. In this case, no more food parcels will be available for these categories!
