"Other School" together with the firefighters from Mures - the new "teachers" for the children of the "Rosemary" Day Centre
The "HOREA" Emergency Situations Inspectorate of Mures County opened its doors today to the children of the "Rozmarin" Day Care Centre as part of the "School in a different way" educational programme.
Curious to learn more about the firefighting profession, the youngsters were shown the fire engines used by the rescuers, the protective equipment and firefighting techniques, and the bravest had the opportunity to climb into the cab of the fire engine.
Accompanied by their teachers, the students were very attentive to the firefighters' explanations on how to use the equipment they were given, and they also asked questions.
Through these activities, the firefighters try to provide an opportunity for children to learn about the work of a professional rescuer and at the same time prepare them to behave correctly in the event of an emergency, as well as to appreciate the missions of firefighters in the service of the community.
