ASKTEEN.RO - Online chat with a psychologist for teenagers, victims of violence!
Most often, anxiety and depression take their toll on children's emotional, social and cognitive development, giving way to other emotional disorders. School violence has disastrous consequences for victims, perpetrators and witnesses alike. Children who are victims of bullying often feel that they are in the wrong place, as school is not a safe environment, which increases the likelihood of dropping out.
In this context, Save the Children Târgu Mureș Branch, in collaboration with the Târgu Mureș Social Welfare Department, has launched a pilot project involving a private, confidential and free online chat, where teenagers aged 15 to 19, victims of violence, can call on the help of professionals in this field and find solutions to their problems.
The chat can be accessed anonymously, your child does not have to reveal their identity, by scanning a QR code. After accessing the QR code, the child will have to fill in a questionnaire with questions formulated by psychologists, to create a guide to the personal problem to be solved later with indications and recommendations. None of the teenager's friends, classmates, family members or teachers will ever find out about the content of the conversation or the fact that you have approached a psychologist.
The main objective of the pilot project "Psychological Support for Adolescents" is to help children to increase their psychological resilience in the face of adversity, trauma and threats, and to contribute to reducing violence in schools, the chat offering solutions not only to children who are bullied, but also to those who are the aggressors or witnesses of these events.
If you or someone close to you is facing such challenges, we are here to help. Visit https://askteen.ro/ and start the conversation. Share this valuable resource because teenage years are safer and more fun!
