The Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures continues cinformation campaign aimed at increasing access to social services and combating discrimination
In the framework of the project "Integrated approach to poverty and social exclusion for the benefit of marginalized communities in the Municipality of Targu Mures POCU/717/5/1/152430" - co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Human Capital Operational Programme (POCU) 2014-2020, the Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures, as a partner, has implemented information campaign aimed at increasing access to social services and combating discrimination.
Vulnerable people within the marginalized urban areas of Targu Mures Municipality who are part of the target group, have been informed about the importance of holding identity documents, how to obtain them and the procedure for issuing/changing them, steps that are absolutely necessary in order to have access to social, medical and socio-medical services in the community.
Aim of the information campaign is to promote human rights and equal treatment by combating forms of discrimination against people at risk of poverty and social exclusion and providing the necessary support. Changing attitudes towards people at risk of poverty and social exclusion, raising awareness of their rights and combating discrimination against them, demystifying stereotypes about them, increasing social inclusion and equal treatment of them, increasing social inclusion and equal treatment of them, are the main objectives of the campaign, which will run for 18.5 months until 31 December 2023.
