Beneficiaries
The state child allowance is granted to all children up to the age of 18, Romanian citizens, without discrimination, as well as to young people who have reached the age of 18 and are attending secondary or vocational education organised under the law until they complete their education.
Under the law, children of foreign citizens and children of non-citizens residing/resident in Romania are entitled to state child allowance if they live with their parents.
The state child allowance is set at:
a) 719 lei/month for children up to the age of 2 years, respectively 3 years in the case of disabled children;
b) 292 lei/month for children between 2 and 18 years of age and for young people who have reached the age of 18 and are in secondary or vocational education;
c) 719 lei/month for children between 3 and 18 years of age in the case of disabled children.
Documents required for the State child allowance
The legal representative (applicant) must be domiciled/resident mandatory in Târgu Mureș.
- Standard application;
- Identity documents of both parents of the child (originals and xerox copies);
- Child's birth certificate (original and xerox copy);
- For payment of the state allowance into a bank account: The account statement will contain only information on the IBAN code and the holder's name, as per the legislation in force on processing and protecting personal data. and the applicant must be the account holder;
- Other necessary documents as appropriate.
