the elderly<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is granted on the basis of Law no. 17\/2000 on social assistance for the elderly, republished, with subsequent amendments and additions, to persons who have reached the retirement age established by law and reside in the Municipality of Targu Mures in order to prevent and overcome situations of difficulty, vulnerability or dependence in order to preserve the autonomy of the elderly. These services include help with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, help with food preparation and feeding, indoor and outdoor travel, shopping, housekeeping, support with paying bills and current obligations, accompaniment and socialization, leisure activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the case of socio-medically dependent elderly people who benefit from home care services provided by carers, interventions are carried out daily (5 days a week), for a well-defined period of time, services that meet the needs, both quantitatively and qualitatively, according to the socio-medical assessment sheets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the case of elderly people with a lower degree of sociomedical dependence (gr. III), the frequency of interventions is based on a programme agreed with the beneficiaries (hourly services), different from case to case, according to the sociomedical assessment forms.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Criterii_de_eligibilitate\"><\/span>Eligibility criteria<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures carries out the assessment for people who meet the following criteria:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are of legal retirement age;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are domiciled in T\u00e2rgu Mure\u0219;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They do not have a family or are not dependent on one or more persons obliged to do so under the legal provisions in force;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They do not earn their own income or it is not sufficient to provide the necessary care;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They cannot manage themselves or require specialised care;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are unable to provide for their socio-medical needs due to illness or physical condition.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Durata_de_acordare_a_serviciilor\"><\/span>Duration of services<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Home care services are provided to socially dependent elderly people and&nbsp; <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">social and medical care, on the basis of the social surveys drawn up following the assessments carried out on the basis of the&nbsp; <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">socio-medical (geriatric) assessment, in relation to the needs of time and type of services, over the period&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">indefinite (a reassessment of the case is carried out in relation to its evolution).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Acte_necesare\"><\/span>Required documents<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>Required documents<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The process of assessing the socio-economic situation of the potential beneficiaries The initial assessment of the Targu Mures Social Assistance Department starts as soon as it exists:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Application for home care services containing the following data: name, surname, address, telephone number and signature of the applicant and date of application;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Identity card (copy);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pension coupon (copy);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;Referrals and\/or assessments from family doctor\/specialist (copy);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;Medical certificate\/medical certificate (copy);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;Other documents (if applicable).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Procedura_privind_acordarea_dreptului_la_servicii_sociale_pentru_beneficiarii_care_se_adreseaza_Directiei_de_Asistenta_Sociala_Targu_Mures\"><\/span>Procedure for granting the right to social services for beneficiaries who apply to the Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The standard application form, filled in by the potential beneficiary or by his\/her representative\/family member\/other person, as appropriate, in the case of a non-mobile elderly person, shall be submitted to the Social Assistance Department of T\u00e2rgu Mure\u0219, located at Gheorghe Doja Street, no. 9, room 8 or online at the following address <\/span><a href=\"mailto:registratura.das@tirgumures.ro\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">registratura.das@tirgumures.ro<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The applications, accompanied by the necessary documents stipulated above, will be taken by the inspectors of the Department for Adults and Elderly Persons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A team of two social workers will visit the applicant\/potential beneficiary's home for an initial assessment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the initial assessment, in case of eligibility, the social workers from the Department for Adults and Elderly People will prepare a social enquiry, a service plan and a report on the provision of social assistance services and submit it to the Executive Director for approval.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Executive Director of the Directorate of Social Assistance Targu Mures will issue a Decision on granting\/denying the right to social services; the decision will be handed to the beneficiary or, where appropriate, to the legal representative\/family members, accompanied by the original service plan and a copy of the social enquiry. The inspectors of the Department for Adults and Elderly Persons on the basis of the service plan organise the care activity and the assignment of home carers.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Monitorizarea_cazurilor\"><\/span>Case monitoring<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The situation of the elderly cared for at home is regularly checked according to the schedule set by the inspectors. Monitoring is carried out by visits to the home and telephone conversations, which allow information to be obtained on the further development of the elderly person, and the monitoring sheet is then drawn up. This will contain information about the further development of the case and possible recommendations for improving the elderly person's situation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By implementing and further developing the home care activity for socio-medically dependent elderly people, the aim is to improve and even enhance their quality of life. Improving and enhancing the lives of socio-medically dependent elderly people by providing home care services has a beneficial effect on their carers (children, relatives), who can thus continue their professional activity and contribute to improving the economic life of the whole community.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"penci-section penci-dmcheck
