Târgu Mureș Social Assistance Department, an example of good practice in social services for the elderly
In recognition of the public and private providers in the country, who always support vulnerable elderly people, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection launched in October this year the competition "Examples of best practices in social services for elderly people in Romania", to identify the best examples.
On Thursday, December 14, 2022, during the award ceremony organized at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work of the University of Bucharest, the Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures was designated as an example of good practice in social services for the elderly. Ranked third for the social service Home for the Elderly through the services provided and at the same time, in a challenging social context, this distinction is a recognition of our work that honours us and also motivates us to continuously improve the quality of the services we offer.
The staff of the Home has demonstrated that professionalism, dedication and responsibility are qualities that contribute significantly to improving and increasing the quality of life of the beneficiaries.
Under the Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures there is a service that provides home care services for the elderly, as well as the Targu Mures Home for the Elderly, which accommodates people in situations of social exclusion in the municipality, who have no home and are unable to provide minimum living conditions from their own resources, do not have sufficient income for personal care and require specialized assistance.
We would like to thank Mrs. Anca Florea, the director of the Home for the Elderly in Targu Mures, for her hard work, the care she showed every day for the beneficiaries, but also for her smile and positivity.
We believe that this gift is the most beautiful recognition of his merits before his retirement, but also of an entire team, united and dedicated to social causes!
