Parking card-Legitimate parking for people with disabilities
The parking card for persons with disabilities is issued in accordance with Article 65 para. (1) - (4) of the Law no. 448/2006 on the protection and promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities, republished, as amended and supplemented.
It is a single-format document entitling vehicles carrying disabled people to free parking in specially designated, reserved and signposted parking spaces.
The implementation of the single format of the parking card for persons with disabilities was issued by the President of the National Authority for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities by ORDER No. 163/2023 of 21 February 2023.
This legitimation card entitles the holder to use the parking spaces specially arranged in Romania.
Documents required for the issuance of the Parking Card for people with disabilities (free parking)
– Standard request
- Copy of the disability certificate;
- Copy of the applicant's identity document (birth certificate in case of children);
- Copy of the identity card of the legal representative (if applicable);
- A photo of the cardholder (person with disability) (30×40 mm);
- Original, expired ID card (if the applicant held such a card);
-Declaration of liability (in case of damage or loss).
