For the attention of people with disabilities/their legal representatives
who are entitled to be issued with a parking card in specially designated parking spaces
People with disabilities who have a parking card for special parking spaces, issued before 1 July 2023, have less than 5 months to apply to the Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures for the new model of the document, which came into force in the middle of last year. The old parking cards can only be used until 30 June 2024.
Any disabled person who holds a disability certificate (regardless of the degree of disability) and their legal representatives can benefit from the free parking card.
According to the law, in the interest of the disabled person, the free parking ticket can also be used by the family, personal assistant, professional personal assistant or companion of the adult with disabilities, parent, guardian or person responsible for the upbringing and care of the disabled child, under a special protection measure.
Free parking passes are issued on written request. The application form can be downloaded from the DAS Târgu Mureș website www.dastgmures.ro, Social Welfare Services section or by clicking on the link: https://dastgmures.ro/servicii-de-asistenta-sociala/protectia-copilului-si-a-familiei/card-legitimatie-de-parcare-pentru-persoane-cu-dizabilitati/ and must be accompanied by the following documents:
- Copy of the disability certificate;
- Copy of the applicant's identity document (birth certificate in case of children);
- Copy of the identity card of the legal representative (if applicable);
- A photo of the cardholder (person with disability) (30×40 mm);
- Original, expired ID card (if the applicant held such a card);
- Affidavit (in case of damage or loss).
The above mentioned documents can be sent online to the e-mail address: registratura.das@tirgumures.ro or by creating an account on the ConectX platform by going to the browser link www.conectx.net - section "Registration", as well as physically at the Directorate's Registry, ground floor, room 8, 9 Gheorghe Doja Street (working hours: Wednesday: 08:00 - 14:30; Tuesday and Thursday: 08:00 - 16:00; Friday: 08:00 - 14:00).

TO BE REMEMBERED! The parking permit card for people with disabilities is VALID for the period of validity of the disability classification certificate and entitles the holder to park only in specially designated parking places in Romania and EU countries.
According to the data centralized by DAS Targu Mures, 219 parking cards have been issued until the repeal of Order (ANPH) no. 223/2007 on 30 June 2023. As of 01 July 2023, according to Order No. 163/2023 on the implementation of the single format of the parking card, another 384 persons with disabilities in the Municipality of Târgu Mureș have benefited from this card.
