SOCIAL ASSISTANCE DIRECTORATE TÂRGU MUREȘ
is organising a competition to fill a vacancy for an elderly carer in the Elderly Care Department of the Special Protection Service
- 1 post of elderly carer
Specific conditions:
- secondary or general education;
- it is an advantage to have completed the home care course.
The competition applications must be submitted to the Social Welfare Department of Târgu Mureș, Gheorghe Doja Street, no. 9 and will contain the following documents:
- Application for the competition addressed to the head of the organising public authority or institution;
- Copy of identity card or any other document proving identity, according to the law, as appropriate;
- Copies of documents attesting to the level of studies and other documents attesting to specialisation, and copies of documents attesting to the fulfilment of the specific conditions of the post requested by the public authority or institution;
- Employment record or, where appropriate, certificates attesting to seniority in employment, occupation and/or specialisation of studies, in copy;
- Criminal record or a sworn statement that he/she has no criminal record that would make him/her incompatible with the position for which he/she is running;
- Medical certificate attesting to the candidate's state of health issued no more than 6 months before the competition by the candidate's family doctor or by the competent health units;
- Curriculum vitae.
The original of the documents required must also be presented in order to check the conformity of the copies.
General conditions for participation in the competition:
- Romanian nationality, nationality of other European Union Member States or of countries belonging to the European Economic Area and residence in Romania;
- Know the Romanian language, written and spoken;
- It has the minimum age regulated by legal provisions;
- It has full capacity to exercise;
- He/she has a state of health appropriate to the post for which he/she is applying, as attested by a medical certificate issued by the family doctor or the competent health units;
- He or she meets the educational and, where appropriate, seniority or other specific conditions according to the requirements of the post advertised;
- Has not been convicted of a crime against humanity, against the State or against authority, or of an offence committed in the course of or in connection with the performance of official duties that obstructs the course of justice, or of forgery or corruption, or of an offence committed with intent that would render her incompatible with the performance of her duties, unless she has been rehabilitated
The competition will be held at the headquarters of the Social Welfare Department of Târgu Mureș, Gheorghe Doja Street no. 9 and will consist of:
- Practical test;
- Interview.

DUTIES: Provides the following home care services in accordance with work schedules and quality standards:
- Social services:
- preventing marginalisation and supporting social reintegration;
- support for legal and administrative advice;
- support for the payment of certain current services and obligations (payment of monthly utility bills, etc.);
- stimulates the personality of the person under care, establishing emotional relationships with them;
- collaborate with the family of the elderly person;
- makes purchases (including on prescription from the pharmacy for medicines prescribed by the doctor).
- Socio-medical services:
- ensures proper nutrition of the cared-for person;
- cooks and serves meals ensuring the necessary hygienic and sanitary conditions;
- feeds directly or helps the elderly person if they need to feed themselves;
- provides help with personal hygiene, underwear, bed linen
- accompanies the patient to the toilets, bathroom;
- intervenes to adapt the home to the needs of the elderly person;
- organises and is responsible for carrying out and maintaining proper environmental hygiene;
- provides support in carrying out treatments prescribed by doctors (accompanies the elderly person to the place of treatment and, if necessary, assists them during treatment);
- administers medicines in strict and exact compliance with the prescription and instructions of the doctor.
