Emergency aid (firewood) for people/families in disadvantaged areas of Târgu Mureș Municipality
The Social Welfare Department of Targu Mures has started to receive applications for emergency aid in the form of firewood from the forestry fund owned by the Târgu Mureș Local Authority for people/families from disadvantaged areas in the Municipality of Târgu Mureș, according to the Local Council Decision no. 23 of 31 January 2023.
Beneficiaries of emergency firewood aid are single people and families who do not own their own homes and who live in shacks or other makeshift dwellings in disadvantaged areas within the municipality of Targu Mures, whose homes are heated with wood during the cold season 2023.
Conditions for granting:
- Individuals/families must have their domicile/residence in the Municipality of Târgu Mureș;
- The person who submitted the application must not have received, or have received in that year, "gas/electricity heating aid or/and "wood heating aid" according to the law, nor any other gas/electricity or wood heating aid granted by order of the mayor.
Natural persons, owners of forest land, wooded pastures or meadows covered with forest vegetation, from which they can cover the quantity of wood needed to heat their homes, of at least 10 m3 per year, they cannot benefit from firewood for heating their homes.
The standard application shall be submitted to the Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures, Gh. Doja, nr. 9, room 8, Registry Office, together with:
- Copy of the identity card of family members;
- Affidavit that the home is heated with wood.
The Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures, through its specialized departments, will carry out a social investigation to verify the housing situation of the beneficiaries and to determine whether the conditions for granting the right to emergency aid in the form of firewood are met.
