From 3 May enrolment in pre-school and school education, school year 2023-2024, at the Day Centre "Rozmarin" begins
The Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures, through the Social Service "Rozmarin" Day Centre, supports preschoolers and young schoolchildren aged between 3 and 10 who are at risk (from large, single-parent, disorganized families) and who may drop out of school and family life because they lack material and financial resources, offering them a chance to education by enrolling in the Day Centre.
"From care, education, recreation-socialization, counseling, school and professional orientation, to providing daily transportation from home to the Center and back, two meals a day (breakfast and lunch) or school supplies and, occasionally, clothing and/or shoes, through the "Rosemary" Day Center, we want to combat social exclusion and school dropout in the community, focusing on helping children - the only ones who have the chance to break the vicious circle of poverty and lack of education. At the same time, through the Counselling and Support Centre for Parents and Children, we provide counselling, information and parenting education to parents to cope with psychosocial difficulties affecting family relationships." explained the representatives of the Targu Mures Social Assistance Department.
Beneficiaries: to have their residence in the Municipality of Targu Mures, children from families with extremely low income, large/monoparental families; children with one or both parents emigrated to work abroad, raised by one parent or by relatives/grandparents; children with seriously ill or deceased parents; children living in inadequate conditions or even in makeshift housing; families in situations of risk/crisis, abandonment/institutionalisation of the child; families seeking counselling for the upbringing and education of children; (potential) adoptive families, prospective parents with children.
Documents required for admission to the Centre:
- Typical request;
- Medical certificate attesting to the beneficiary's state of health (that he/she is fit to enter the community);
- Referral from specialist (if applicable);
- Vaccination sheet containing the full vaccination schedule;
- Copies of identity documents (child/parent/representative);
- Birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce decree, parents' death certificate (depending on the case);
other documents relating to the family situation;
- Proof of income earned by the parent/representative;
- Certificate from the educational establishment attended by the child (if applicable).
Conditions of access/admission to the Centre:
- Temporarily have little/insufficient income to support themselves and meet their daily needs;
- There is a risk of institutionalisation of children;
- Be at risk of dropping out of school and family life;
- To be social workers;
- There is a situation of vulnerability/difficulty that requires support and assistance from the local community to overcome.
The complete files are submitted at the "Rozmarin" Day Centre of the Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures located at 29 Ludușului Street, from Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 13:00.
