DIGITIZATION - 4 MILLION LEI PROJECT COMPLETED BY THE CITY HALL OF TÂRGU MUREȘ
The local administration of Târgu Mureș announced on Tuesday, 10 October, the completion of the project "Strategic planning and simplification measures for citizens in the Municipality of Târgu Mureș", funded by the Operational Programme Administrative Capacity 2014-2020.
The project is implemented by Târgu Mureș Municipality in the period 18.05.2020 - 18.10.2023, with a total value of 3.993.535,07 lei. The general objective of the project was to strengthen the administrative capacity of the Municipality of Targu Mures by developing strategic planning capacity and by simplifying administrative procedures, combined with the introduction of electronic methods of management and management of administrative documents, which will increase the quality of the administrative act in the long term.
"The project which is being finalised this month has been implemented by the local administration in two of the most accessed directorates of the local public administration - the Social Welfare Directorate of Târgu Mureș and the Chief Architect Directorate, Urban Planning Service", said Deputy Mayor Alexandru György.
He added that one of the objectives of the current team of the Târgu Mureș City Hall is to digitize all the services offered by the local public administration, in order to make it easier and faster for citizens to access them. The Local Tax Directorate was the first to be fully digitized - in 2021, all the modules were successfully implemented so that the services offered by the Târgu Mureș Local Tax Directorate can be carried out entirely electronically through the online platform for communication with taxpayers.
In the same sense, Dana Ijac, Head of Service, Internationally Funded Projects Service of the municipality, said that the expected results of the implementation of the project "Strategic planning and simplification measures for citizens in the Municipality of Targu Mures" are the creation of standard mechanisms and procedures implemented at the local level for decision making and long-term strategic planning: Integrated Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Târgu Mureș, updated document; Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of the Municipality of Târgu Mureș, updated document; Smart City Strategy of the Municipality of Târgu Mureș, developed document.
The project also aimed at the implementation of simplified procedures for the reduction of bureaucracy for citizens at the local level in line with the Integrated Plan for the simplification of administrative procedures for citizens implemented: integrated IT system developed and implemented; electronic archive for about 350 linear meters physical archive completed; 40 people trained in strategic planning.
