Everyone has the right to work and the right to engage in any freely chosen or accepted occupation. The right to work may not be restricted and the choice of profession, trade or occupation and the place of work shall be free.
In this regard, the Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures as a partner of the project "Integrated approach to poverty and social exclusion for the benefit of marginalized communities in the Municipality of Targu Mures" - co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Human Capital Operational Programme (POCU) 2014-2020 has completed the event "Right to work", part of the activity A5.3 Information campaign aimed at increasing access to social services and combating discrimination.
During this action, the target group was informed about the minimum rights enjoyed by all citizens, namely: equal opportunities (conclusion of employment contracts, equal treatment rights at work, working time rights, information and consultation of workers, pregnancy, maternity leave, parental leave), health and safety at work (general rights and obligations, working environment and equipment, specific risks and vulnerable workers) and protection against discrimination. The target group also received counselling to find a job adapted to their social profile.
