Another event in the Information campaign aimed at increasing access to social services and combating discrimination (POCU) successfully completed
Starting from the principle "Education is the main engine that can generate well-being and a beautiful future for our children!", the Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures, as a partner of the project "Integrated approach to poverty and social exclusion for the benefit of marginalized communities in the Municipality of Targu Mures" - co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Human Capital Operational Programme (HCOP) 2014-2020 has completed the event "Access to education for both children and adults", part of the Information Campaign aimed at increasing access to social services and combating discrimination.
The event targeted vulnerable people from ZUM Târgu Mureș, through direct meetings and the distribution of information materials, with the aim of reaching the project beneficiaries directly.
The participants were informed about the importance of education in their personal development and future, the benefits of participating in compulsory education, the procedure for enrolment in the pre-school, primary, general, vocational and secondary education system, the running of the "Second Chance" programme (which offers the possibility of continuing and completing compulsory education without having to interrupt professional or family activity). The action aims to prevent and reduce early school leaving, including reintegration into the education system through formal, non-formal and informal learning pathways.
In order to raise awareness of the importance of lifelong education, children and parents have benefited and continue to benefit from counselling, school and social guidance services.
The project supports, among other things, disadvantaged children, young people and adults to complete as many classes as possible within the education system or to complete cycles of education (primary and/or secondary), in a way adapted to their specific circumstances, so that their chances of academic and social success are maximised.
Project co-funded by the European Social Fund through the Human Capital Operational Programme 2014-2020
