DAS Târgu Mureș: constant collaboration with the private sector - NGOs
The mission of the Directorate of Social Assistance (DAS) Târgu Mureș is to support vulnerable people and to implement social policies aimed at improving their quality of life.
Constant communication and collaboration with the private sector, represented by the NGOs working in the social field in the municipality of Târgu Mureș, is a real help in identifying social cases that require immediate intervention, as well as offering integrated social services centred on the needs of the person.
"Together with NGOs we have managed to contribute significantly to the social integration of disadvantaged people, to the protection and promotion of the rights of the vulnerable: children, the elderly, people with disabilities, families at risk, as well as to the development of a healthier and more inclusive environment. Inter-institutional collaboration and the involvement of NGOs have also contributed to increasing the efficiency and impact of social services, while constant monitoring and updating of interventions ensures an adequate response to the changing needs of social groups. Going forward, together with our partners, we aim to combat social exclusion and promote community solidarity.
In this context, on Wednesday, 26.02.2025, our Directorate received as a donation from the HIFA Romania Association, 2 book tilers in 84 copies, both in Romanian and Hungarian, containing general knowledge about the life of people with disabilities, respectively life stories of people with disabilities, both aiming to better understand this social category, improve communication and relationships with them, respectively the opportunity to professionalise our services for the benefit of this vulnerable group. Part of these books are intended for DAS Târgu Mureș employees directly involved in the provision of benefits and social care services for people with disabilities, and the other part will be further distributed, through the care of our staff, to individuals and families who are in care in our records." DAS Târgu Mureș representatives said.
