First edition of the Locuril Fairor work - part of the project "Integrated approach to poverty and social exclusion for the benefit of marginalized communities in Târgu Mureș Municipality"
RomActiv Business Consulting SRL as leader of the project "Integrated approach to poverty and social exclusion for the benefit of marginalized communities in Tîrgu Mureș Municipality" POCU/717/5/1/152430", funded by the European Union through the Human Capital Operational Programme 2014-2020, in partnership with the Social Assistance Department of Târgu Mureș and the "Serafim Duicu" Secondary School, organized on 23 February 2023, a Job Fair in order to facilitate access to the labour market for the target group, to match labour demand with labour supply, to ensure opportunities for the target group to meet potential employers, and to ensure the possibility to apply the job search techniques learned through participation in the project activities.
The job fair, organized for the first time in the framework of the above mentioned project, was attended by eight employers in search of unskilled workers in various fields, mainly in the textile industry, HoReCa or care of green spaces, who presented their job offer and the facilities provided for employment. At the same time, four startups funded under this project with €25,000 each, sought much-needed manpower at the beginning of their journey.
The fair was a great success, with over 50 people expressing their choice of employment.
The job fair is taking place in the context of the implementation of the project "Integrated approach to poverty and social exclusion for the benefit of marginalized communities in the Municipality of Targu Mures" POCU/717/5/1/152430, funded by the European Union through the Human Capital Operational Programme 2014-2020, which runs from January 2022 to December 2023 and is implemented by RomActiv Business Consulting SRL in partnership with the Targu Mures Social Assistance Department and the "Serafim Duicu" Gymnasium School in Targu Mures.
The event was organized free of charge for all employers and for all persons interested in a job, from the target group, and is part of the efforts to provide citizens of the municipality of Targu Mures and especially people at risk of social marginalization, the opportunity to learn about the supply of the labor market, by connecting employers with people looking for a job.
