As every year, the Social Assistance Department of Targu Mures celebrates the International Day of Older Persons, a sincere proof of respect and appreciation for all elderly people.
On this day, perhaps more than usual, thoughts turned into deeds, and together with the children of the "Rozmarin" Day Centre, we tried to bring a smile to the wrinkled faces of the grandparents of the Targu Mures Home for the Elderly, but also to those we met on the street.
"Grandparents are the ones who guarded our steps and our lives. Some still do. They are the ones who pave the way, show us right from wrong, teaching us how to make a difference.October 1 should be a special day not only for our seniors and those around the world, but for all of us who should show them respect and appreciation for their efforts and achievements. I congratulate all the elders of this community, wishing them health, peace, well-being, peace of mind, inner beauty, respect and love from their loved ones and the whole community." said Andreia Moraru, Executive Director of the Targu Mures Social Assistance Department.
